Configure Exclusions for Time Machine

By default, Time Machine backs up the user home folders, the /Library folder, and apps that did not come with macOS Big Sur. In this exercise, you configure Time Machine to back up only user files. In most cases, backing up only user files provides adequate protection because you can always reinstall macOS and apps. If you want to restore printers, network settings, and other systemwide elements, don’t add any exclusions to the Time Machine exclusions list.
